Tamron 17-70mm F/2.8 Di III-A VC RXD Lens (B070) (Sony E)

Versatile 17-70mm Zoom Range

The Tamron 17-70mm F/2.8 Di III-A VC RXD Lens (B070) is a versatile standard zoom designed for Sony E-mount APS-C mirrorless cameras. Its 17-70mm focal-length range provides excellent flexibility, covering wide-angle views through short telephoto perspectives for landscapes, travel, street photography, portraits, events, and everyday shooting.

Constant f/2.8 Maximum Aperture

The lens features a constant f/2.8 maximum aperture throughout the entire zoom range, providing consistent exposure when changing focal lengths. The wide aperture also offers strong low-light performance and helps create attractive background separation for portraits and creative compositions.

Built-In Vibration Compensation

Tamron’s VC (Vibration Compensation) technology helps reduce the effects of camera shake during handheld shooting. This stabilization is especially useful in lower-light conditions and when using slower shutter speeds, helping photographers achieve steadier and sharper results.

RXD Autofocus System

The RXD (Rapid eXtra-silent stepping Drive) autofocus system is designed to deliver fast, smooth, and quiet focusing performance. Its quiet operation is beneficial for video recording, while responsive autofocus makes the lens suitable for everyday photography and a variety of moving subjects.

Designed for Sony E-Mount APS-C Cameras

The lens is specifically designed for Sony E-mount APS-C mirrorless cameras, providing a practical all-purpose zoom option for Sony users. Its combination of a broad focal range and constant f/2.8 aperture makes it suitable for photographers who want to handle multiple shooting situations with a single lens.

Excellent for Photography and Video

The combination of constant f/2.8 performance, Vibration Compensation, and quiet RXD autofocus makes this lens well suited to both still photography and video. The flexible zoom range allows users to change compositions smoothly without frequently changing lenses.

Ideal Everyday and Travel Lens

The 17-70mm focal-length range makes the lens a strong choice for travel, street photography, portraits, family photography, events, and general-purpose shooting. From wider environmental compositions to tighter subject framing, the lens provides the versatility needed for a wide range of everyday situations.
