High-Resolution 24MP Full-Frame Sensor

Inside the camera is a new 24.2MP full-frame CMOS sensor paired with Canon’s DIGIC X processor. This combination delivers sharp, detailed images with excellent color and a wide ISO range of 100–102,400 (expandable to 50–204,800) for low-light shooting.

Ultra-Fast Shooting Up to 40 fps

The R6 Mark II can shoot continuously at 12 fps with the mechanical shutter and up to 40 fps with the silent electronic shutter. Both modes include full AF/AE tracking, so you never miss fast action like sports or wildlife.

Smart Autofocus with Deep Learning

Canon’s Dual Pixel CMOS AF II system covers 100% of the sensor with 1,053 AF points. It uses deep-learning technology to detect and track people, animals (even horses), and vehicles like cars, trains, and airplanes. The AF works down to -6.5 EV, so it focuses reliably in very dark conditions.

Professional 4K 60p Video Recording

For filmmakers, the camera records oversampled 4K at 60p from 6K without cropping. It also supports 10-bit internal video with Canon Log 3 and external 6K ProRes RAW via HDMI. Full-HD at 180p allows smooth slow-motion, and there’s no recording time limit.

8-Stop In-Body Image Stabilization

The 5-axis sensor-shift stabilization gives up to 8 stops of shake correction with compatible lenses. This lets you shoot handheld in low light or capture steady video without a tripod.

Great Viewfinder and Vari-Angle Screen

A bright 3.69m-dot OLED electronic viewfinder refreshes at 120 fps for smooth viewing. The 3.0″ vari-angle touchscreen LCD tilts for vlogging and shooting from high or low angles.

Dual Card Slots and Full Connectivity

The camera has dual UHS-II SD card slots for flexible storage. It includes Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 (for charging and webcam use), mic and headphone ports, and a multi-function shoe for XLR audio adapters.
